Grass-Roots, Inc. was founded in 1978 by Lance and Julie Schelhammer. They founded a company that would go on to maintain and install multiple award-winning landscapes at some of Kansas City’s most prestigious addresses.

Grass-Roots, Inc. currently has (3) branches serving the greater Kansas City area. All branches are fully staffed to take care of all of your landscape & snow removal needs. Our years of experience and investments in knowledgeable people and efficient equipment allow us to create and deliver quality images with respect to your bottom line.

Grass-Roots, Inc. is also a company that is active in community, university and association support. Each branch is required to carry out a community service where we donate time and material to our respective communities. We donate time and money to local universities for advancement of their Horticulture programs and research departments. We are also on the board of directors and members of multiple local, regional and national industry associations.
